Lawsuit Filed In Tacoma McMurray Road Motorcycle Accident

Davis Law Group Car Accident and Personal Injury Lawyers has filed a motorcycle accident lawsuit in the Pierce County Superior Court (19 2 05217 7) on behalf of an Auburn man who was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident that took place in August of 2018 in Tacoma, WA.

On August 5, 2018, the defendant was driving a 2015 Honda Civic on westbound McMurray Road in Tacoma. The plaintiff was lawfully operating a motorcycle (2003 Motorcycle Yamaha R1) at a safe speed heading north on Marine View Drive. The defendant failed to stop at the intersection of McMurray Road and Marine View Drive. The defendant then turned left onto Marine View Drive without yielding the right-of-way to traffic traveling on Marine View Drive. Witnesses state that the defendant ran a red light. The plaintiff had no reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision and crashed his motorcycle into the defendant’s vehicle.

Victim Suffers Broken Neck & Other Serious Injuries

The plaintiff wash knocked unconscious and sustained bodily injuries and other damages as a result of the collision. He was transported via ambulance to St. Joseph’s Medical Center where he spent 3 days in ICU and several more days in recovery. Doctors determined that he had a broken neck, broken clavicle, fractured sternum, 2 broken ribs and a traumatic brain injury.

The plaintiff seeks compensation for medical bills, lost wages, other damages and pain/suffering.
