When attorney Chris Davis  heard the shocking statistics of teachers spending their own money to support classroom needs, he decided to step up and help.  Chris created the Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Program to help incredible teachers in Washington Public Schools get the supplies that they need, in honor of his mother who was a teacher.

Shocking Statistics: Teachers Spend Their Own Money On Classroom Supplies

A whopping 94% of public school teachers frequently dip into their own pockets to purchase necessary classroom supplies. The poor economy and shriveled budgets have pushed officials to make cuts that are so deep that teachers are spending more of their own money with hopes that their students won’t feel the pinch.

Another survey revealed that teachers spend on average $625 per year of their own money on supplies and resources each year. They are spending their own money on software, educational games, paper, crayons, pencils, glue and other similar materials. And some are purchasing supplies for those students that just can’t afford to buy the basics.

How It Works: Nominate A Teacher Today

Each month, Davis Law Group Car Accident and Personal Injury Lawyers will select one deserving teacher to receive a $1000 gift card to use on supplies for their classroom.

• Anyone can nominate a teacher. A teacher can nominate themselves, they can be nominated by a parent, student, administrator, etc.
• A teacher or classroom is only eligible to win one time.
• At this time only teachers within Washington public school system are eligible.
• Winners will be notified via email.
• Information about the monthly winners and their classrooms will also be posted on the Davis Law Group Car Accident and Personal Injury Lawyers website.
