The case involves an 80-year-old woman who was injured while being transported by a medical shuttle company. The medical shuttle driver forgot to activate the wheelchair ramp on the vehicle and pushed the woman backward in her wheelchair. She fell out of the vehicle and struck her head on the concrete. She required an emergency craniotomy for treatment of a subdural hematoma.
