In 2019, Tami Michaels was on her way to meet her daughter at Green Lake to train for the annual climb of the Columbia Tower stairs. They were planning to run the bleachers together in preparation of their participation in The Big Climb, a fundraiser for luekemia and lymphoma research. Those plans never came to fruition as she was neglegently rear-ended on I-5 Northbound, causing a 4-car pileup.
Because there were multiple impacts, the injuries Tami suffered were particularly devastating. She was diagnosed with a concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI), thoracic outlet syndrome and other injuries to her back and spine.
The injuries Tami suffered led to years of medical treatment with dozens of healthcare providers, and she may require more surgical procedures in the future to treat nerve damage resulting from the crash. This culminated in as much as $100,000 in medical bills, all because of a negligent driver who was driving too fast for the road conditions on that day.

Tami and her husband Guy decided early on that they needed help, someone to advocate for them against the insurance companies while they focused on their own medical recovery. This is their story.
More Details About Tami's Case
At the time of her accident, there was uncertainty whether the defendant had enough insurance to cover the injuries Tami suffered. During the case investigation, Davis Law Group found that the at-fault driver had a limit of $100,000 which would only cover past medical bills, leaving Tami and her family to have to pay for future care out of pocket.
Luckily, Tami had Underinsured Motirsts (UIM) coverage under her own automobile insurance policy. This meant that she had additional insurance benefits under her own name that allowed her to recover additional compensation since the at-fault driver's insurance would not provide enough coverage.
As she explains in the video above, the fight against Tami's own insurance company was much more contentous than she was expecting. But after a months-long battle, Davis Law Group was able to secure another $250,000 from Tami's UIM policy. The settlement will not only cover the cost of recovery for Tami, but also gives her peace of mind in the event that she does require future surgical treatment for the thoracic outlet symdrome she suffered as a result of this accident.
The award-winning attorneys and legal staff at Davis Law Group were able to help Tami get a much better outcome than she expected, especially with the concerns about the level of insurance at the beginning of the case. Now Tami and her family are able to continue to focus on her health and maximizing her recovery without the mental burden of impending financial hardship.
