RETAINED: Renton Couple's Vehicle Hit By Taxi Then Struck Again By Drunk Driver
Dennis and Jill Standeford have retained Davis Law Group, an award-winning, Seattle-based civil litigation firm, to represent them in personal injury claims and possible legal action related to two accidents that took place on August 29, 2015.
The Standeford's vehicle was in the carpool lane on 1-5 near the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle when a Yellow Cab taxi hydroplaned and collided with their vehicle on the passenger side pushing them into a concrete barrier. The Standeford's vehicle could not be easily moved from the carpool lane and was waiting for assistance. The investigating Washington State Patrol car was parked behind them with the lights on to warn other drivers. A drunk driver then hit the patrol car and pushed in into the Standeford's car causing a second impact.
The Standefords were the victims of these two horrible accidents and suffered serious injuries. The actions and conduct of the taxi driver and the drunk driver have been under investigation by Washington State Patrol and the King County Prosecutor's Office.
