Young Girl On Her Way To A Play-date Struck In Crosswalk By SUV. Bicycle Accident Photos Below.
The parents of a nine-year-old girl who was seriously injured when hit by an SUV while crossing the street on her bicycle have retained bicycle accident attorney Chris Davis to represent their daughter in possible legal action against the driver.
The accident took place on August 18, 2018 at about 7pm at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and South 38th Street in Tacoma.
The girl was crossing the street inside a marked crosswalk when a Chevrolet Tahoe struck her. The girl was thrown onto the hood of the vehicle before falling to the pavement. Police photos show an indentation on the hood of the vehicle where the girls head struck the SUV and a broken headlight at the point of impact. Accident photos below.
The girl was transported to Mary Bridge Hospital by the Tacoma Fire Department. She suffered a severe head injury, broken left ankle and other injuries.
