The parents of a 27-year-old man who died in a Clallam County drunk driving crash have retained impaired driving victim’s rights attorney Chris Davis to represent them in a civil legal action against the at-fault driver.

The crash took place on May 29, 2019 on US Highway 101 near Priest Road near Sequim, WA.

The victim was driving a 2003 Ford Focus westbound on SR 101 when the eastbound drunk driver in a 2001 Mazda Tribute SUV crossed the centerline causing a head-on collision.

John Ronald Sutton was arrested for drunk driving after tests showed that he registered a 0.123 on a portable breathalyzer test 84 minutes after the crash.

Sutton was arraigned on June 14, 2019.  The criminal case of State of Washington vs John Ronald Sutton (12-100217-05) is scheduled to be heard in Clallam County Superior Court on November 18, 2019.

The parents of the victim have hired Davis Law Group to pursue a wrongful death claim.
