drunk driving crash in poulsbo Award-winning drunk driving accident lawyer Chris Davis, founder of Davis Law Group, P.S., has filed a civil lawsuit in Kitsap County Superior Court on behalf of victims injured in a drunk driving collision that took place 2/15/2016 at approximately 7:28 PM am/pm near Poulsbo in WA.

At the time of the collision both vehicles were traveling on Washington State Route 3 in Kitsap County.  The defendant driver was weaving in and out of traffic in an unsafe manner.  He then attempted to change lanes and the front of his vehicle clipped the rear of the victim’s vehicle.  There were four separate impacts between the two cars. Before the victim’s car hit the median of the highway, where it spun out of control before hitting an embankment.

The driver that caused the accident then left the scene without stopping.  Witnesses noted the at-fault drivers vehicle’s license plate and reported it to the authorities, who learned that the registered owner was Kitsap Plumbers Group, Inc.

Law enforcement responded to the address of the registered owner, where they encountered the at-fault driver, who they observed removing a reflective vest and jacket from the truck and placing in another vehicle. Upon initiating contact, law enforcement noted that he was unsteady on his feet, his eyes were watery and bloodshot, his words were slurred, and he smelled of intoxicants.

Law enforcement performed Field Sobriety Tests at the scene, with the results indicating that he was impaired by alcohol consumption.  Two breath-alcohol concentration (BAC) tests were administered within two hours of the crash.  The driver of the plumbing vehicle’s BAC readings were 0.190 g/100ml and 0.192g/100ml, each reading over the per se legal BAC limit of 0.08 g/100ml.

Law enforcement arrested him for violations of RCW 46.61.502 (driving under the influence) and RCW 46.52.020 (hit-and-run).

The victim of this drunk driving accident suffered injuries to his hands, wrists, arms, back, neck, and left knee requiring months of treatment and resulting in costly medical bills.
