Pedestrian accident attorney Chris Davis, founder of Davis Law Group, P.S., has filed a civil lawsuit in King County Superior Court (19 2 06702 1 KNT) on behalf of a 15 year old girl who was injured in a crosswalk accident that took place in October 2017 at the intersection of 47th Avenue Southwest and Southwest 320th Street near Big Foot Java.

According to the police report, at approximately 6:49am a Tacoma woman driving a 2009 Subaru Forester attempted to turn left onto eastbound Southwest 320th Street when she failed to yield to the pedestrian who was legally crossing the street within a marked crosswalk.

One witness who was in a nearby vehicle at the intersection stated, “she was about ¾ of the way across the street when the vehicle accelerated through the intersection striking her and throwing her a good 10-15 feet.”

The victim remembers flying through the air and landing on his back.  He suffered injuries to his back, legs, hip and head.  He was transported via ambulance to St. Francis hospital for emergency medical treatment.

The court filings claim that the defendant  acted negligently and ultimately caused the accident.
