Davis Law Group is a busy personal injury firm employing extraordinary people. The office culture offers a no-nonsense work environment where co-workers are friendly and warm but not distracted by office politics or social cliques. We are too small, too busy, and too focused for that. There is a strong commitment to creating a high quality legal service product, striving for client satisfaction, and an excellent total client experience.
BUILDING A WINNING TEAM
The more competent individual team members are, the more competent the team. At Davis Law Group founder Chris Davis has tried to assemble the best possible team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. The Davis Law Group legal team is carefully engineered, similar to a professional sports team, to ensure that our client’s needs are met and our cases are managed in such a way as to maximize the potential value of any settlement or verdict.
Chris Davis looks at his legal team similar to the way Coach Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks looks at his team. Like Carroll, Davis wants to find top performers who are results-oriented team players. Both want individuals that work well as a team to reach the goal line and win the game. Coach Carroll wants to win games; Chris Davis wants to win cases. Every great team needs a great coach who is willing to work with the team to leverage their strengths, minimize their weaknesses and help each individual become a well-rounded, top-performing player.
LADY JUSTICE: SUPERSTAR PARALEGAL TEAM
Everyone wants to be a part of a winning team. It’s human nature. And great, high-performance teams need a name, a logo, and a mascot. It helps to build morale and enthusiasm.
The paralegals at Davis Law Group have chosen to call themselves ‘Lady Justice’. And we have created a logo for them which appears on coffee cups, mouse pads, posters and other items in our office. And, yes, we are ready with a gender neutral name and logo for when a male paralegal joins the team.
Chris Davis wants top performers who are results-oriented—paralegals that are team players as well as great individual contributors.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DLG PARALEGAL
OUR PARALEGALS DON’T….There are things that paralegals must do at other law firms that they rarely, if ever, do at Davis Law Group such as: paralegals don’t do receptionist work; paralegals don’t take potential client calls; paralegals don’t order medical records (outsourced); paralegals conduct legal research (attorneys research their cases); and paralegals don’t draft motions (attorneys do that too).
REGULAR TEAM MEETINGS
Paralegals have a regular team meeting with the attorneys. These meetings provide a way to make sure that the entire team is on track and empowered to tackle their work load without struggle, confusion or lack of clarity. Team members also help one another by sharing experiences, how-tos, etc.

Every other week paralegals get one-on-one time with one of the attorneys so they can look at every case, review the strategies, milestones, priorities and tasks that will help them successfully manage the case.
OFFICE SPACE & EQUIPMENT
Our paralegals have spacious, individual offices with large desks; two-monitor computer screens; telephone headsets; and extra workspace available in our copy/work room or common area.
TOOLS & TEMPLATES
Davis Law Group has state-of-the art case management software to help paralegals effectively manage their cases. The firm also has an extensive electronic library full of templates and historical documents as reference material.
REGULAR TRAINING
Twice each year a consultant is brought in for two days of group and one-on-one training to help the legal staff more effectively and efficiently use the case management software; learn about new features; and to make customized changes to the system based on requests by the attorneys, paralegals, and support team.EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK & PARALEGAL PROCEDURES MANUAL
Davis Law Group has an employee handbook, office procedure manuals, and clearly defined policies and procedures designed to help paralegals efficiently management cases. Because all clients and case files are managed in the same way by all paralegals it is easy for team members to step-in and provide assistance to one another at any time.
OPERATIONS SUPPORT TEAM
Davis Law Group has an in-house operations team to assist paralegals with technical issues such as computer hardware, computer software, internet access, productivity software, visual aids, trial support, etc.OUR CULTURE TEAMWORK
At Davis Law Group you can actual earn a bonus for helping others get their work done. Where else are you actually rewarded for that kind of teamwork?
The Davis Law Group staff looks forward to the annual holiday party all year long. Every year the party gets a little bit bigger and better than the previous year.
LUNCHES & OFFICE POT LUCKSAt least one social event is planned each month. Examples include: office happy hour; everyone shares their favorite dishes at an office potluck; lunch will be ordered for the staff (Potbelly or Jimmy Johns are always popular); or clients have been known to make lunch for the entire office as a ‘thank you’. And our TGIF celebration starts with Top Pot Doughnuts every Friday. Whether organized by Chris & Mischelle or just as a spontaneous notion, staff members enjoy socializing together after work. Some staff members like to enjoy themselves at a local café or pub after work.
OFFICE DOG
We have the world’s cutest office dog, Lucy. Every day Mischelle Davis brings her teacup poodle to the office. It is not uncommon to find little Lucy curled up in a chair or in someone’s lap helping them manage their cases. She’s a real law dog.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Staff members have the option of participating in some of the firm’s community outreach programs such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s annual Walk Like MADD fundraiser, Toys for Tots, holiday giving campaigns, fundraising for Mary's Place, school programs, and more. Learn more about our work with MADD.
WE RECOGNIZE & REWARD THOSE PARALEGALS THAT GIVE OUR CLIENTS THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF SERVICE
GET PAID FOR ALL THE HOURS YOU WORKAt most law firms paralegals are salaried and don’t get paid extra for all of the evenings and weekends that they end up working during trials or when things get busy. Davis Law Group pays paralegals by the hour. So when you need to work overtime you actually get paid for it—of course, overtime is paid at time-and-a-half.
UNIQUE INCENTIVE/BONUS PROGRAM
In support of the firm’s stated mission to provide “the highest level of legal representation possible to the victims and family members of personal injury and wrongful death,” Davis Law Group is pleased to offer a Client Service Excellence Program to our paralegals. In addition to an annual discretionary bonus, paralegals participate in this unique, monthly bonus/incentive program which rewards them for providing clients with exceptional customer service. The purpose of the incentive program is to:
- Demonstrate the firm’s commitment to its mission.
- Recognize and reward employees for exemplary service to the firm and its customers.
The incentive program is based upon the concept that incentives are another way to reward and recognize employees for providing superior customer service. We value achieving client service performance objectives and recognize the significant role the paralegals play in their accomplishment.
