Davis Law Group, P.S., a Seattle-based law firm, in partnership with OfficeMax, is pleased to announce that Robert Cockerham is this week’s winner of the Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Program. Mr. Cockerham teaches multiple subjects at Cherry Crest Elementary School in Bellevue.
At Cherry Crest Elementary, Mr. Cockerham teaches a large class of more than 30 students and therefore spends much of his personal finances on school supplies throughout the duration of the school year.
Mr. Cockerham was nominated for this award by a fellow colleague and teacher, Dana Wyant, who describes him as a pleasure to work with and someone who truly cares about his students’ well-being.
In addition to purchasing basic school supplies for the classroom, Mr. Cockerham will use the $100 OfficeMax gift card to provide special science and social studies projects and supplies for the classroom. Typically, Mr. Cockerham spends hundreds of dollars of his own on these supplies throughout the academic year.
Seattle personal injury attorney Chris Davis and his wife started a program to help public school teachers get extra classroom supplies without having to spend their own money. The Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Program gives a $100 OfficeMax gift card each week to a deserving Washington State Public school teacher and his/her class. Anyone can nominate a teacher for this program, including teachers, students, parents and administrators.
