Car Accident Report: Vehicle Rear-Ended on I-405

In February 2004, DH was driving his Mazda Northbound on Interstate-405 in Bellevue, Washington.  DH slowed and stopped for traffic in front of him on the interstate when he was suddenly slammed into from behind by TM, who was driving distracted at the time of the crash.

This car crash was fairly significant and caused substantial damage to DH's vehicle.

Washington law provides that the following driver has the duty to avoid a collision with the driver in front.  See Washington Pattern Jury Instruction (WPI) 70.04. TM was negligent when he slammed into DH’s vehicle.

Summary Of Accident Victim's Injuries

DH sustained the following injuries in this car accident:

  • Cervical strain secondary to MVA
  • Sciatica secondary to MVA.
DH is 34 years old.  He lives with his wife and child in Bothell, Washington. When not working as an analyst for a leading cell phone providor in the area, he enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, working with his computer and travelling.

While seeking reimbursement for the damages and expenses he incurred as a result of the collision, DH hired Seattle car accident lawyer Christopher Davis, the founder and principal attorney of the Davis Law Group based in Seattle, WA. Mr. Davis has had considerable success negotiating for fair and reasonable financial compensation with claims representatives in the past, specifically at the GEICO Insurance Company.
