Davis Law Group, P.S., a Seattle-based law firm, in partnership with OfficeMax, is pleased to announce that Connie Lawrence is this week’s recipient of the Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Program. Ms. Lawrence is a first grade teacher at Kimball Elementary School in Seattle.
At Kimball Elementary, Ms. Lawrence is known for her creative approach to educating such a young group of kids. Parents admire her desire to ensure all kids are participating and have the resources they need to succeed.
Ms. Lawrence was nominated for this award by a friend of hers, Melinda Gallagher, who describes her as a driven educator who always strives to help any of her students in need.
“Connie is an amazing teacher,” Gallagher says. “[She] goes above and beyond for every student. She spends much of her own time finding ways to better educate today’s youth.”
Ms. Lawrence will use the gift card to purchase basic school supplies for her classroom, as well as provide additional supplies to students who are in need of them – things that she usually spends hundreds of dollars of her own on throughout the school year.
Attorney Chris Davis and his wife started a program to help public school teachers get extra classroom supplies without having to spend their own money. The Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Program gives a $100 OfficeMax gift card each week to a deserving Washington State Public school teacher and his/her class. Anyone can nominate a teacher for this program, including teachers, students, parents and administrators.
