EK was immediately taken to Swedish Medical Center by ambulance in full C-spine precautions. She complained of severe pain in her neck, back and right ankle. After the next few days following the accident, EK suffered from gradually increasing pain. A summary of her injuries are listed below.
Car Accident Injuries
- Headache
- Cervical Strain
- Lumbar Strain
- Strains in both arms
- Thoracic pain
- Low back pain
At the time of the collision, EK was a married 28-year-old woman and a mother of one. Her daily activities were severely impacted by the injuries she sustained due to DS's negligent driving. She was advised by her doctor not to lift of carry anything heavier than 2 pounds, such as care for her baby or household work. EK was instructed to hire a full-time homemaker and babysitter. Over the next several months following the accident, EK's overall symptoms slowly improved; however, she remained on disability and required continued babysitting help into April of 2002.
After spending some time trying to negotiate with Pemco Insurance on her own EK decided to hire Seattle car accident attorney Chris Davis at the Davis Law Group to help her handle her accident claim.
