Everett Accident Report: Rear End Accident on Colby Avenue

In April of 2002, J.D. was driving his 1997 Ford Escort vehicle in the 5600 block of Colby Avenue in Everett, Washington. He stopped his vehicle for traffic ahead. While stopped, J.D. was hit from behind by W.B. The force of the collision was significant, causing J.D.'s vehicle to strike the vehicle ahead with great force. W.B. was cited by the police for inattentive driving while J.D. was not cited for any infraction. The impact to J.D.'s car was fairly significant, in fact his vehicle was declared a total loss. J.D. is a married 51 year-old Everett citizen who he lives with his wife and three young children. J.D. is employed at Cedar Park Assembly of God in Bothell, Washington. Cedar Park is both a church and a school (pre-K through high school) where John works as a custodian.  In his free time, he enjoys attending church on Sunday, playing the bass guitar and harmonica, and hiking with his wife and family.
