What makes Zofran a dangerous drug for patients?

Zofran is a prescription medication that is approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat and prevent nausea and vomiting. Zofran works by blocking serotonin in the areas of the brain that trigger nausea and vomiting after surgery, chemotherapy and radio therapy.  Common side effects of Zofran include; diarrheaheadachefeverlightheadednessdizzinessdrowsinessconstipation, rash, blurred vision and muscle spasm

Pregnant women who were prescribed Zofran to treat morning sickness have suffered from serious birth defects including cleft lip and cleft palate, heart defects, kidney defects, musculoskeletal defects, poor fetal growth, and fetal death.

Can I file a lawsuit?

If your baby suffered serious birth injuries or tragically died as a result of your using Zofran, then you are strongly encouraged to consult with an attorney about a potential claim. Consulting with a personal injury attorney about a birth defect case can help you better understand your legal rights for compensation as well as the personal injury legal process in general.
