Confidential Settlement After Serious Multi-Car Accident

multi-car accident

In August 2017 an Ohio man was driving a rental car as he was in town visiting army friends in Bellingham  when he was involved in a serious, multi-car accident.

A 2016 Toyota Highlander had legally stopped in the roadway on SR 20 in order to wait for it to be safe to turn left onto Cape Hor Road when it was struck from behind by a 2007 Ford Explorer.  The force of the impact pushed the Highlander across the centerline into oncoming traffic where it hit the 2015 Chevy Cavilier rental car.  The Chevy hit a DOT sign before crashing into a ditch.  The driver that caused the accident was cited for Following Too Closely.

Our client suffered a fractured sternum, fractured spine, dislocated neck and bruised lung.  He was in Harborview Medical Center for 2 weeks and then spent 18 weeks in a rehab facility.

DLG Case Number: 201806
