Davis Law Group represented a 42-year-old woman injured in a multi-party motor vehicle collision. She was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a chain collision stemming from the unsafe driving of two other drivers. The defendant drivers and their insurance companies denied causing the collision, and each pointed fingers at the other for causing the incident.
The client suffered a head injury with post-concussive symptoms, including some cognitive deficits, post-traumatic visual deficits, balance issues, tinnitus, and headaches. She also suffered a right hip injury/labral tear, requiring arthroscopic surgery, neck and back injuries, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The defendants disputed the nature and extent of the woman's injuries. The defendants' doctors diagnosed her with strain/sprain and soft tissue injuries. The defendants disputed the head injury, and also disputed that she was suffering from any PTSD related symptoms. The defendants argued that if she did have PTSD, then it was caused by a history of childhood sexual abuse occurring 35 years earlier. The defendants further argued that the woman made a full recovery, and any physical and emotional problems she was now experiencing were caused by factors that pre-dated the collision.
The names of the parties, defense attorneys, insurance companies, and court venue are all confidential.
