Work Truck Loses Control Injuring Multiple People At Light Rail Job Site.

Updated on: 8/28/2020

An out of control work truck at a light-rail construction site in North Seattle has lead to several workers being injured on the job.

The truck reportedly took off on its own Tuesday morning while four workers were working on high tension lines on top of the truck.

One worker was thrown from the moving vehicle, the others waited until the vehicle slowed and jumped off.

Of the four workers injured, two were hospitalized while two were able to be treated at the scene.

The truck, a specialized vehicle with the ability to drive both on streets and rials, started near the Roosevelt High school light rail station and came to a stop on its own just north of the University District Station.

Sound Transit is investigating what caused the vehicle to lose control.

Work Site Accidents And Personal Injury Settlements

Construction sites should be a familiar sight to anyone who has been in the greater Seattle area in recent years, and unfortunately where you have increased construction, you will find increased work zone accidents

Accidents like the crane collapse in Southlake union from 2019  that killed four people and the manlift accident at the F5 tower construction site in 2016 could leave construction workers and average citizens alike nervous about the work being done around the city.

Sound transit, and the many light rail projects that now expand beyond Seattle but into the surrounding cities have their own history of accidents and injuries, like this equipment collapse that critically injured a worker at the Bellevue east link Light-rail station construction site last year.

Thankfully, those involved in this incident appear to have escaped without life threatening injuries, two being treated on scene, but medical bills, and lost wages can add up for even the most basic soft tissue or broken bone accidents especially when working a physically demanding job.

That's why it is important for accident victims of all kinds to know their rights when going about the recovery process.

Being injured on the job can complicate the recovery process, but the award-winning work place injury attorneys at Davis Law Group have the knowledge and experience to guide accident victims through their claims process to the best possible result.
