Recovery Options For Loved Ones After Fatal DUI Collisions
The tragedy of an accident that takes the life of a loved one is only amplified by the fact that it was no simple accident, but the act of a reckless criminal high on drugs.
Unfortunately, while accidents like this leave little debate over fault, the prospect of recoverying any kind of settlement on behalf of the victim is dubious at best due to the question of whether or not the at fault driver carried adequate insurance.
If not, the victims uninsured motorist coverage, or UIM, could come into play and provide one avenue for relief, but after such a serious collision, this could still leave an accident victim seriously lacking.
Accident victims or their loved ones looking for additional recovery options after an accident should conduct a thorough investigation of the accident and avenues for recovery, starting with ordering their police report.
With a police report, and purpose driven investigation, car accident victims and their representation can understand every possible avenue for additional recovery options to make sure victims make the most comprehensive recovery possible.
