Ten years ago today, attorney Christopher M. Davis published the very first version of The Ten Biggest Mistakes That Can Wreck Your Washington Accident Case, a free legal guide designed to educate people about their legal rights after a car accident. He first got the idea after a friend approached him at a party, asking questions about how to deal with an insurance company after a car accident. With the help of his wife and Operations Manager, Mischelle Davis, he realized that he could write a book answering the questions he is so often asked about cases involving car accidents and other personal injuries in Washington state.
After the first book was published, Attorney Davis kept getting questions about personal injuries from his friends, his clients, and people who called in to speak with the legal staff at Davis Law Group. Many had questions about specific types of personal injury cases, each with their own nuances; they wanted to know how motorcycle cases were different from car accident cases, whether they would be covered by the at-fault drivers’ car insurance if they were on a bicycle or on foot, how to navigate personal injury cases while dealing with a brain injury, and hundreds of other questions.
Attorney Davis realized that different accident victims needed different books tailored to their specific situations. He wrote more books, each about a different type of accident case. Today, there are a total of 12 different books in the Washington Accident Books™ series, each of which covers a different topic related to personal injury law.
Mr. Davis's original goal was to help regular people understand the complex and adversarial nature of the personal injury legal process, as well as to identify the common damaging mistakes that people often make when it comes to dealing with insurance companies. To date, Davis Law Group has sent out more than 20,000 copies of the Washington Accident Books™ to people across the country.
The Washington Accident Books™ aren’t just for people dealing with the immediate aftermath of an accident. Davis Law Group sends books and reports to people who are curious about their legal rights before they’ve been in an accident. We also work send books to traffic safety educators, healthcare providers, car and motorcycle repair shops, and others who work to prevent accidents or who deal with injured victims after an accident has taken place.
We hope that the books have provided you with a better understanding of your legal rights and how to avoid the common pitfalls that can negatively affect your case.
