Two Men Injured in Seattle Construction Accident

Updated on: 7/8/2020

Two construction workers sustained non-life threatening injuries in a construction accident Thursday after a rebar wall struck them near First Avenue in Seattle.

The men were working on the roof of a building Thursday morning when a wall of rebar came crashing down and struck both of them. One of the men suffered moderate to serious injuries in the construction accident and the other man’s injuries were less serious.

According to Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore, neither of the men’s injuries appears to be life-threatening. Because of the nature of the accident, Moore added that the men had to be pulled down from the building using ropes and pulleys. They were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries, and there is no information regarding their conditions.
