A three-year-old boy was hit by a car in Seattle Wednesday afternoon, causing him to be taken to Harborview Medical Center.
According to the Seattle Police Department, a 41-year-old woman was driving southbound on 34th Ave S in Seattle near the Beacon Hill area. Meanwhile, a three-year-old boy was playing on the sidewalk with a non-motorized scooter near his family’s apartment unit. The boy emerged from behind cars that were parked on the road and was hit by the vehicle.
The woman was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash. She was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert unit of SPD, who determined that there were no signs of impairment.
