Sedan Crashes Head On With Dump Truck in Bellingham, Injures Four

Updated on: 3/25/2020

Four people are injured after a passenger car hit a dump truck and box truck head on in Bellingham.

The accident happened Friday afternoon when a speeding sedan with two males inside drove through a stop sign before colliding with a dump truck, then a box car at the scene.

Both the driver and passenger in the sedan as well as the drivers of both trucks were seriously injured according to Washington State patrol.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time.

Personal Injury Claims For Passengers

Passengers injured in car accidents have legal rights even if the injuries sustained are found to be as a result of the driver of their vehicle.

These protections extend to passengers on motorcycles and in ride share vehicles like uber and lyft cars as well.

While an investigation into the collision will still have to take place to ultimately determine liability, due to the reports of speeding and running a stop sign, it appears likely that they will be found at least partially at fault

With all four parties involved being severely injured in this accident if there is only one vehicle found to be at fault it is very likely that victims may need to rely on under insured or uninsured motorist coverage (UIM) for a large part of their recovery as the available funds from a single policy will likely max out well before all injured parties are made whole.

Settling accidents with multiple injured parties can be complicated, but that's why Davis Law Group offers free case evaluations to accident victims and their loved ones to help make sense of your legal rights after an accident.
