Updated on: 11/11/2019

Highway 221 was shut down just south of Prosser for the second time in just over a week Thursday morning after a car collided with a semi-truck, killing the driver of the car. 44-year-old Flor Rodriguez Galindo’s Honda Accord drifted to the right shoulder, causing her to overcorrect the turn and collide with an oncoming semi-truck. According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver and passenger of the semi, 53-year-old Leonardo Ventura and 21-year-old Hector Ventura, were uninjured in the accident.

22-year-old Ivan Pacheco was also killed in a collision on Highway 221 on March 14 when his Honda Civic crashed into a semi-truck that was transporting cattle. The driver of the semi-truck in this incident was also unharmed.
