A runner was seriously injured after being struck by a driver on a pedestrian-only roadway Saturday Morning.
The runner was on a portion of Lake Washington Boulevard that had been closed to encourage social distancing and exercise earlier in the year due to the coronavirus.
The accident took place shortly before 7 a.m. on Saturday morning and sent the 59-year-old man to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
