A semi truck and car were involved in a collision Thursday morning on Interstate 405 in the Bellevue area, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. in the southbound lanes just north of the Interstate 90 interchange.
Emergency responders found a jackknifed semi truck blocking three lanes of traffic. Other vehicles were involved in the crash and oil was leaking from the semi rig.
The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. WSP photos from the scene show a car that appears to have been rear-ended by the semi.
Lane closures from the crash could be lengthy, the State Patrol said. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and prepare for long delays.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
