A multi-vehicle accident on the Ballard Bridge Saturday morning left four people injured and forced the bridge to close down for approximately an hour.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene, on the Ballard Bridge just north of downtown Seattle, at approximately 8:20 a.m. after receiving reports of a multi-vehicle accident. Upon their arrival, officials found that a taxi cab crashed with a Toyota Prius on the bridge.
Three people in the Prius were taken to nearby hospitals. One passenger sustained several fractured bones and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she was listed in stable condition. Another passenger from the Prius was also taken to Harborview.
The taxi cab driver was taken to Swedish Hospital in Ballard with neck injuries. A third person from the Prius was also taken to Swedish. Officers are investigating the cause of the accident and there were no details available on criminal charges.
