The Recovery Process For Motorcycle Accident Victims
Washington State saw nearly 450 fatal or serious injury motorcycle accidents a year from 2014-2018, killing the riders involved or leaving them with devastating, life-threatening, or even permanently disabling injuries.
Some of the most common injuries riders sustain after a motorcycle accident include head injures, broken bones, and soft tissue injuries, all of which could leave victims requiring surgery, months of recovery, and mountains of medical bills.
Factors that could play a role in the recovery for the rider in this case, include speed, whether or not the rider was lane splitting, or whether the elderly driver was distracted or otherwise failed to act with due care for the other drivers on the road.
The rider and his representation would have to show that the driver of the SUV was making an illegal left turn or otherwise failed to yield the right of way to the rider.
While the police investigate the accident, the accident victim should be focused on recovering from their injuries and conducting an investigation of their own to understand every aspect of the case before going to through the settlement process.
