Motorcycle Crash in Tacoma: Woman Injured, Abandoned

Updated on: 11/12/2019

A man is wanted in Tacoma for crashing his motorcycle on the side of the road and leaving his female passenger, who was seriously injured, behind at the scene of the crash. The incident took place Thursday at 9 p.m. on Marine View Drive close to the Port of Tacoma.

Tacoma police say they are looking for the driver of the motorcycle after he left the injured passenger on the side of the road to die. The passenger, an unidentified 22-year-old woman, was thrown from the motorcycle in the crash. The Tacoma News Tribune reports that she is in critical condition at Tacoma General Hospital.

After crashing his motorcycle the man allegedly fled the scene of the crash but left his helmet behind, and police say they think they know the man’s identity. Speed and alcohol were reportedly factors in this unfortunate crash that seriously injured the woman.
