A teenage male driver was killed in a car accident this afternoon, and two others injured.
The accident occurred around 2:29 p.m. in the 8100 block of 108th St. NE in Marysville when a Honda Civic was heading west, lost control of his vehicle and then smashed into a tree.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers, both teenage boys, were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. One was seriously injured, the other did not experience life threatening injuries.

The actual cause of the fatal accident has not been determined. It is believed that speed played a role.
