A 20-year-old man from Kent was pronounced dead Monday after he spent the weekend at Harborview Medical Center receiving treatment for injuries he sustained in a car accident on Saturday.
According to police, Nathan Crawford was driving his 1996 Honda Civic southbound on I-405 near Tukwila when he attempted to pass a 2008 Ford SUV. The two vehicles collided and caused a serious accident that injured Crawford and passengers in both vehicles, but not the driver of the Ford SUV.
In all, three men – Crawford and one passenger from each car – were injured and taken to Harborview to be treated for their injuries. Police say that everyone involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt at the time and they believe that drugs or alcohol were involved.
