About Walk Like MADDDrunk driving is one of the leading causes of road accidents in the United States, claiming thousands of lives each year. Last year in Washington alone, over 1,000 people were killed in drunk driving crashes. That’s one person every 25 hours. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is an organization that is dedicated to putting an end to drunk driving, supporting victims of DUI accidents, and preventing underage drinking. To further their mission, MADD hosts an annual non-competitive 5K walk that aims to raise awareness and funds for MADD to continue their mission of education and prevention. This year multiple guests will be joining the event, including KOMO news’ Molly Shen.
