Like all of you, we at Davis Law Group have been faced with the reality of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak that is sweeping the country. And while the unknown variables remain, we are taking necessary steps to ensure our employees, clients, and business in general are protected and not at risk.
We are in uncharted territory, as no virus seen before has threatened the shutdown of day-to-day life or business operations in the way this one has. There is still work to be done, but we have taken the following steps with regard to office operations for the foreseeable future:
Staffing & Personal Health Concerns
First and foremost, our employees’ financial security and well-being is of the utmost importance to us. That’s why Chris Davis made the decision to personally guarantee that all Davis Law Group staff will continue to receive their regular pay and benefits without interruption, regardless of what happens over the next few weeks. This peace of mind will allow our staff to continue to focus on what is best for our clients as this situation continues to develop.
Davis Law Group staff has been advised to monitor their own personal health and communicate any potential issues or development of symptoms to management. The majority of our day-to-day employees will remain fully operational in our downtown Seattle office. Our building is implementing additional procedures for ensuring that the facility is clean and disinfected on a daily basis, and our own staff is also taking additional measures to combat the spread of any virus. We are also fortunate to have an office layout that allows for pretty easy social distancing, meaning all employees are at least 6 feet away from one another on a consistent basis.
Some of our staff has been temporarily approved to work on a remote basis, and we will adjust those policies as this situation develops. In the meantime, we remain committed to serving our clients and are capable of doing everything we need to do to protect our clients’ best interests and advocate on their behalf.
New Clients & Legal Consultations
Simply put, we are here and available to speak with anyone interested in pursuing a potential new case with Davis Law Group at any given time, just as we have been for more than 25 years. Our regular office staff is standing by, ready to speak with you about any motor vehicle accident, dog bite, medical malpractice, or other type of personal injury case you may be interested in speaking with us about.
If our team decides to take on your new case, we may decide to hold the initial legal consultation over the phone, via Skype/Facetime, or some other form of virtual meeting & communication. This is purely a precautionary measure meant to align with recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the Washington state government to limit close personal interactions as much as possible.
That being said, we are ready and willing to accommodate anyone who is interested in pursuing a new case with our firm and will make arrangements based on what is most convenient for you. Do not hesitate to call with questions or concerns about your case or your legal rights, we are here to help.
Moving Forward As We Learn More About COVID-19
We are fortunate to be an established Washington state law firm with a caseload that keeps us very busy. We will continue to advocate for each and every single client who has placed their trust in our firm to protect their legal rights and deliver excellent results. For the most part, Davis Law Group operations will move forward unless and until the state and federal governments decide to escalate the response to COVID-19.
This means that clients of Davis Law Group will continue to have an experienced team of investigators, advocates, and litigators on their side keeping the wheels of justice in motion. Many law firms in the Seattle area have unfortunately made the difficult decision to temporarily or permanently cease operations as they grapple with the economic impact of this outbreak. We want to reassure all current and future clients that despite the severity of this situation, we will persevere.
We want to thank everyone who has and will continue to place their trust in Davis Law Group. We have an amazing team of legal professionals who are doing what they can to balance their own personal safety with the duty we hold to advocate for our clients. If you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to speak with our team about a new potential case, please do not hesitate to give us a call at (206) 727-4000.
