What to do After a Rollover Accident
Unfortunately rollover crashes are often so severe that you may not be able to take some of these recommended steps after the car accident. In fact, 35 percent of all deaths from motor vehicle crashes were of the rollover variety.
If you lost a family member or friend in a rollover crash, you may be able to pursue a wrongful death claim.
- Seek medical attention as soon as possible. Even if you feel you don’t immediately need it, go to the doctor and get checked out. Pain and internal injuries may not be obvious, as shock and adrenaline masks the symptoms. Plus, if you wait to receive care, those injuries may not be accounted for in a personal injury claim.
- Call the police and give them a detailed account of what happened.
- After your condition has stabilized, contact an experienced personal injury attorney. Have someone looking out for your rights before you speak with the insurance company. Most lawyers operate on a contingency fee basis, meaning the firm only gets paid if you get paid. And all consultations are free.
