Troopers with the Washington State Patrol (WSP) say that a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 9 in Marysville left two people killed and two more with serious injuries Friday afternoon.
According to KOMO News, the crash occurred just after 12 p.m. Friday on State Route 9 just north of 84th St. NE. Troopers say two middle aged adults – one male and one female – were pronounced dead at the scene.
An elderly couple was in the other vehicle, and both people in that car suffered serious injuries and were reportedly transported to Providence Regional Medical Center’s Colby Campus in Everett.
Investigators believe that the elderly couple is responsible for causing the car crash, according to preliminary reports.
State Route 9 was reportedly completely blocked off near the scene of the collision while officials investigated the scene and collected evidence.
We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
