A bridge collapsed over Woods Creek in Monroe Monday sending a dump truck into the water below.
The primarily wooden bridge was being crossed by the dump truck while carrying septic vaults.
The truck came to rest on its side, where the driver was able to walk away from the crash without injury thankfully.
Bridge Failures
The Davis Law Group has previously represented clients injured in bridge failure accidents and understand the complexities that are involved in understanding the needs in one case to another.
Thankfully the driver of the fallen truck did not report any injuries at the scene, however over time, should damage become apparent, there are several factors that would impact this hypothetical case.
Reports indicate that the bridge was privately owned, meaning any claim made from a car accident would primarily be made against the vehicle's owner and their insurance policy, rather than potentially larger entities for publicly owned and constructed structures.
