A donut delivery truck driver was hit by a speeding car that flipped her vehicle.“It was so quick! They were just flying around that corner,” delivery truck driver Michelle Hansen said.
Hansen was in the hospital after the driver of a stolen car slammed into her truck. The driver of the stolen vehicle ran from the scene, but was found and arrested near the scene of the crash.
Hansen suffered from a broken neck and various bumps and bruises. She was not ejected from the truck, but did roll around in it after it flipped.
She said that she got herself out of the seat belt and seat.
“I couldn't figure out how to get out of the van because I wasn't used to looking at it upside down,” she said.
While emergency officials helped Hansen, police went after 32-year-old Aaron Pate who allegedly hit her in the stolen vehicle. Police reported that Pate led them on a high-speed chase.
Hansen will face a long-term recovery after being released from the hospital.
