Dog Owners: Be Aware of Dog Bite Laws and Responsibility

Dog bite book written by lawyer
As the owner of a dog, you are liable for any damage it causes. If your dog bites another individual, the victim can sue you for damages. However, the claim would be against your homeowners insurance specifically. Generally, personal injury attorneys do not like to go after personal assets because of the risk involved.

Before you invite a dog into the family, remember the responsibilities it holds. You are basically claiming it for your child and that you are responsible for its actions. Therefore, you should train and discipline your dog just as a kid.
