Victim of Crosswalk Accident on 5th Avenue in Seattle Retains Davis Law Group
Douglas Robert Stinson, a Canadian computer science professor, has retained Davis Law Group, an award-winning, Seattle-based civil litigation firm, to represent her in possible legal action related to a pedestrian accident that took place on January 1, 2016 at approximately 10:20pm at the intersection of Spring Street and 5th Avenue in Seattle.
Mr. Stinson has just arrived in Seattle and had taken the light rail train from the airport to downtown. He was walking from the station to his hotel. He was legally crossing the street inside a marked crosswalk with the signal when he was struck by a 2000 Volvo sedan. He was pushed/thrown about 12 to 15 feet as the vehicle struck the right side of his body.
Mr. Stinson was the victim of this horrible accident. He suffered multiple broken bones; was transported by ambulance from the scene; spent 3 days at Harborview Medical Center; and later required surgery and physical therapy.
The actions and conduct of the driver of the vehicle is been under investigation by the Seattle Police Department.
