The viaduct closure had a rocky start when a garbage truck got stuck underneath the structure shortly after commuters were told to find alternate routes on Friday morning. Officials worried that the truck, which had ruptured its natural gas tank in the collision, might catch fire if emergency responders attempted to move it. They were eventually able to remove it safely.
Two injured in crash near Safeco Field
Two people were injured in a crash early last Friday morning when the driver lost control of the SUV they were riding in. The vehicle struck a curb and rolled over, landing on its rood.
