Child Passenger Safety Week - Car Seat Inspection

Updated on: 11/7/2019

How do you know if your child is in the right car seat?

Child passenger safety week encourages all parents to check their child’s car seat. They grow faster than you may think! You need to make sure they are in the most appropriate car seat to prevent any injuries if you are in an accident.

If your child has been injured in a car accident, due to the negligence or careless of another person or entity (if you believe the car seat malfunctioned) contact Seattle personal injury attorney Christopher Davis. Call Davis Law Group at (206) 727-4000 to schedule your free consultation today.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration asks all parents and caregivers to check their car seats on September 24.

Here are recommendations to follow:

  • Select a car seat based on your child's age, height, and weight.
  • Keep your child in the car seat for as long as possible, as long as your child fits the seat's height and weight requirements.
  • All children under 13 should ride in the back seat.
