A 52-year-old man from North Bend passed away over the weekend after his car drifted off the roadway and crashed into a tree. According to authorities, the man was driving his 1994 Jeep Wrangler westbound on Interstate 90 Friday night around midnight near North Bend when the car left the highway and hit a tree. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.Official reports indicate that the vehicle was totaled upon impact and the crash took place near milepost 31 on I-90. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but officers believe alcohol or drugs played a role.
