Drunk Driver Injures-3 In Spokane Crash

Updated on: 9/4/2020

Three people were hospitalized after a crash involving a drunk driver Wednesday in Spokane.

According to reports that the accident took place early Wednesday morning when a driver attempted to exit Interstate 90 when he left the road, struck a tree, and caught fire.

The driver and his two passengers were injured, transported to local, Sacred Heart Hospital.

Authorities on the scene reported drugs or alcohol appear to have been a factor in this crash.

Rights For Passengers After A Drunk Driving Collision

Drunk driving collisions are never accidents because in every case, somebody made the choice to drive drunk.

Fortunately. this incident did not result in any fatalities, and the driver did not strike any other vehicles or pedestrians before crashing.

The victims from this crash do include two passengers whose condition was not revealed by reporting other than the fact that they required hospitalization after the crash.

For these victims, their rights as passengers are no different than they would be if they were in another vehicle or pedestrians, outside of a few very narrow exceptions.

Drivers have a duty of due care to everyone on the road including the passengers in their own vehicle and as such when a crash is caused by a driver, their passengers.
