Updated on: 11/25/2019

One person was trapped and at least two others were injured in a car crash involving a semi truck on Interstate 5 in Seattle on Monday, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

The incident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-5 near South Hudson Street around 11:15 a.m.

One vehicle was on its side with a person trapped inside. Ambulances also transported two other victims with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Three lanes of I-5 northbound were blocked at the scene, causing a three-mile backup. Two lanes have since reopened.
