Motorcycle Crashes Into Car On Pacific Highway | Seattle Injury Lawyer

A motorcycle crashed into a car that turned in front of it on Pacific Highway in Spanaway around 12:30 a.m. The incident took place at East 176th Street. A Kia Rio was heading south on Pacific Avenue South when it made a left turn in front of the motorcyclist. The bike was unable to avoid the car and slammed into the side of the Kia.
The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old Tacoma man, was rushed to Tacoma General Hospital for treatment
of the injuries he sustained in the accident. The passenger in the Kia, a 26-year-old Des Moines woman, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The driver of the Kia, a 31-year-old woman from Puyallup, was not hurt in the collision.
So far, no charges have been filed and the incident is still under investigation.

The driver of a vehicle intending to turn to the left within an intersection or into an alley, private road, or driveway shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle approaching from the opposite direction which is within the intersection or so close thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard.
