Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School Teacher Receives $100 Award
3rd Grade Teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School Receives Office Max Gift Card
Davis Law Group, P.S., a Seattle-based law firm, is pleased to announce that Tiffany Evenstad is a recipient of the Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Program. Ms. Evenstad is a 3rd grade teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School.
Ms. Evenstad was nominated for this award by Joeke Kingma for her sincere dedication to her students. Kingma says that Ms. Evenstad always makes her students top priority and she maintains a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere in her classroom.
“The students love having her as a teacher and respect her in return,” Kingma said. “Her students thrive in her classroom and under her leadership.” Ms. Evenstad has continued her own education by receiving her master’s degree. She wanted to further her education to remain effective in the classroom so that her students can experience a successful and rewarding academic year.
Currently, Ms. Evenstad spends at least $50 of her own money each month to buy supplies for her classroom. Since there is no art program at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary, she wants to use the $100 gift card toward art materials in order to introduce the subject into her classroom.
Seattle attorney Chris Davis and his wife started a program, in partnership with OfficeMax, to help public school teachers get extra classroom supplies without having to spend their own money. The Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Programgives a $100 OfficeMax gift card each week during the school year to a deserving Washington State Public School teacher and his/her class.
