Seattle man dead in boating accident

A boating accident in the Black Hills killed a Seattle man and left two other people injured.
Sheriff's investigators say it happened late Tuesday evening or early Wednesday when the boat ran into a large rock island on Pactola Reservoir west of Rapid City.
Two of the boat's occupants stayed on the island overnight and flagged down a fisherman early Wednesday who went for help. Taken to a hospital were 44-year-old Robert Meehan of Apple Valley, Minn., and Rachelle Meehan, 36, of Seattle.
The body of the third person was recovered from the lake by a dive-rescue team. He was identified as 43-year-old Barry Meehan of Seattle.
