Teacher at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary Receives $100 OfficeMax Gift Card Award

Davis Law Group, P.S., a Seattle-based law firm, in partnership with OfficeMax, is pleased to announce that Melora Rouse is a recipient of the Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Program. Mrs. Rouse is a 4th grade teacher at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary School.

Mrs. Rouse was nominated for this award by Deb Zimmerman, a student’s parent. She describes her as being a very caring and innovative teacher.

“Mrs. Rouse goes out of her way to think of ways for the kids to grasp the concepts they are working on,” Zimmerman said.

Mrs. Rouse is known for teaching her students life skills in fun and new ways. An example of this includes teaching math through baking. Therefore, it is exciting for the children to learn math but they are also learning the basics of baking.

She spends at least $500 each year on supplies for her classroom. Mrs. Rouse will use the $100 award toward more fun and innovative lesson plans.

Davis Law Group is honored to award Mrs. Rouse with an award to pursue her out-of-the-box teaching style.
