Seattle's B.F. Day Kindergarten Teacher Andrew Zillig Awarded $100 Gift

Seattle Public School Teacher Recipient of $100 Gift Card for Classroom Supplies

Davis Law Group, P.S., a Seattle-based law firm, is pleased to announce that Andrew Zillig is a recipient of the Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Program. Mr. Zillig is a kindergarten teacher with a whole-hearted dedication to teaching.

Mr. Zillig is one of the most requested teachers at B.F. Elementary School, according to Principal Susan McCloskey who nominated him for this award. He was released from the school due to budget cuts, but was able to return with a position this fall and ‘everyone was rejoiced’ as McCloskey said. Last year, his kids shined as the only class to bring in donations from every student for the school’s Walk-and-Roll fundraiser.

He has been working hard all summer to make sure his classroom was ready for his students. Mr. Zillig spends $100 a month out of his own pocket for healthy treats and supplies for his kids.

Seattle attorney Chris Davis and his wife started a program, in partnership with OfficeMax, to help public school teachers get extra classroom supplies without having to spend their own money. The Davis Law Group School Supplies Gift Program gives a $100 OfficeMax gift card each week during the school year to a deserving Washington State Public School teacher and his/her class.
